Walt write a report on whales Whales
There are two groups of whales. Ones with teeth and they can chew and bite on big sea animals and one group with no teeth. They have bristles and they called barleen whales. The whales that have bristles suck in water and the water gets pushed out through the bristles and the fish gets swallowed.
Whales are different to fish because the fish swim by moving their tail side to side but the whale swims by moving there tail up and down.
Whales are mammals because they give birth to live babies which feed on its mothers milk. They stay with her until they can look after themselves . The mother teaches the baby whale to swim and dive while its growing up.
Whales communicate by doing thumps, squeaks and clicks. This is to warn other whales when there is danger.
